How to zip all files in a directory in Ubuntu

Linux zip command can be used to zip all files in a directory. Just write down below command in terminal and it will zip all file in directorytozip.  -r option will make sure that all files including dot files zipped recursively.

 zip -r filename.zip /directorytozip
